How to Measure Your DogTips for measuring your dog:There are four measurements designer use in their size charts: length, neck, chest/girth, and weight. Each measurement is important. Length: Measure from the base of your dog's neck to the back of their tail (their back). Neck: Measure where a dog collar would be. Make sure to give a little slack so that you don't choke your dog. Chest/Girth: Measure the widest part of your dog's chest, normally this is behind the front legs. Again make sure to give a little slack. Weight: While this measurement is used, it is the hardest to find a size on as a 10lb pug has a completely different body shape and size then a 10lb dachshund. Use all of these measurements together to find your dog's size. If a dog is in between two sizes, go a size up. |
