Luxe Hollywood chair for dogs

20080809s.jpg Let's say you're a Maltese, you've just gotten groomed and fluff-dried, and your nails are painted pink. Where are you going to sit, to best show off your spoiled cuteness? The Hollywood Pet Chair in cotton candy pink could be just the throne for you. This chair has subtle Art Deco lines that nonetheless scream "Princess!" It's 34" wide . . . more than enough room for a Maltese to stretch out in. And the brushed fabric is oh so comfy. The Hollywood Pet Chair is also available in Kiwi green, which would go nicely with a male dachshund, but darling, really, if you are a pink toe-nailed Maltese, a spoiled princess, why would you ever give the time of day to a male dachshund?

Jazzy doggy nail polishes

20080808s.jpg

People can be surprising. Sometimes, they are obtuse as cats. But other times, they can really exercise their creativity and inventiveness. When they do it in the service of spoiling dogs, then the stars, the planets and the sun are all in harmony. Ginger the spoiled big city Sheltie here, calling your attention to Pooch Polish from Fly Pooch. The Chihuahua on their home page, saying "I'm so fly;" so cute, makes a dog want to sniff. Anyway, these handy . . or should I say, pawy . . . crayon-on dog nail polishes make it so easy for your human to doll you up for a fancy stroll out in the town. There's barking blue, ruff ruff red, dog gone gold (a perfect match with my sable fur, don't you know) and other lovely colors to enhance a girl's natural beauty. Fly Pooch sell convenient, gently-formulated cleansing pads as well. This company has the market nailed; I'm giving four joyous barks for them and their products.

Deluxe pet luggage

20080809n.jpg Perhaps you live in high style and have homes on a few continents. If so, we're quite sure you don't leave home without your well-heeled fur companion. For these swank pets we recommend the Global Gallivanter Deluxe. More than a high-end suitcase (it's made from Scandinavian leather and the interior is outfitted in Italian damask), this gorgeous design comes fully stock with all the necessities. You'll find a water bowl, pet passport holder, bone cushion and more all tucked into the lid. Beneath the case's cushion (which works as a pet bed while en route), there's a spot for doggie garments and toys. We don't know of many rock stars who travel better than this!

Book of dog names

20080807s.jpg Have you ever thought of naming a dog Beowulf? What about Chiquita? Or if you're trying to pick names for two dogs, would you ever call them Hugs and Kisses? We remember what Steve Martin's character called his dog in the movie The Jerk, and we don't think that's funny at all! But if you'd like an entertaining selection of dog name options, take a look at Joanne O'Sullivan's book Calling All Dogs: Grrreat Names for your Perfect Pooch. Perfect pooch, perfect smooch. Didn't a dog named John Fitzgerald say "Ask not what you can do for your human, ask what your human can do for you!" We once knew a lady so nutsy that she named her boy dog Juliette and her girl dog Romeo. Poor Romeo and Juliette came running in response to their names, too. Don't let this happen to you. Pick your dog's name wisely, with the assistance of Calling All Dogs.
